About Us

Buy Local Allegany is a local initiative intended to make it easier for consumers to find and buy locally sourcedfarm products. We have created the Buy Local Allegany County brand and this website to act as a central directory to find farm products, farmer’s markets, CSAs, and farm stands located in Allegany and surrounding counties.

 

The Buy Local Allegany project will increase social media traffic for local farms who already have an online presence as well as create an online presence for farmers currently without one.

 

This initiative has been assisted by University of Maryland Extension, Garrett County Business Development and funded by grants from the Western Maryland Food Council and the Maryland Agriculture Council.
